I've never taken mine past 120 DM so yeah sorry not sure. I doubt they would do the speedo though. Then again I might be wrong
Okay so...
I realise the Td5 isn't exactly a 10 second dragster, but just wondering what sort of speeds they top out at?
Obviously this is all in a "hypothetical" sense![]()
I hit 120, and only once for two reasons:
1: to see if the overspeed light worked (it didn't)
2: because I was overtaking.

So yes.
Hypothetical top speeds people?

Had mine to 150, & it still had some to go I reckon![]()
Yeah, It was a long straight so I could have unwound it a bit but I've been pretty hesitant to do anything too extreme, after I got pulled over
I may have nudged 130 once, but yeah...
It'd be interesting to see![]()
Have had my chipped TD5 Defender very close to 160 KM/h so a Discovery should be much quicker
A long time ago and in mainland Europe I had my td5 90 hit 101mph (162ish kmh) on GPS. It was not chipped at the time. It was downhill however, and would have got a few more but I decided that was enough!
Disco should happily beat that with a long enough run up!
the deefer version can wind out past 160......... (post chipping)
