Thread: Elec under centre consul connection I.D.

    Found this connector under the RH side of the consul, sitting on the cable tray. The green/purple wire comes from in the bundle and under the dash, the black goes back to under the mass bundle of wires. It's a 3 pin connection (but only the two wires connected). It's like a connector that you'd find behind a cd/dvd Rom.

    I'd noticed this too, but hadn't bothered looking into it.

    A few minutes with RAVE was all that was needed.

    a) check colour codes for wiring in electrical library - just to be sure.
    b) search the wiring diagram pdf for "gp" until found a connector with lgp (light green/purple) and black on pins one and three.
    c) look up connector in electrical library to verify it was the same one.

    Answer: it's the connector for the shifter lock out solenoid, which is only found on North American and Japanese spec vehicles. You can safely ignore.
