    Design life vs reality

Design life of airbags (SRS) is 10 yrs. In the USA they have had airbags do their job after 25 yrs, so current thinking is they have a longer life than orig spec.

But you also get failures before the ten years. Mine got some dirt in the fold and it accelerated the wear. Still lasted about 7 years, the other was going fine but I swapped both.

Are we talking SRS airbags or Suspension airbags, because I read it that the OP was asking about SRS bags
