the return of Pedro, Gomez & Juan

    G'day All,
had shuttle valve fault codes cleared about 6 months ago after not having any amigo problems in the previous 6 months since I bought the D2.
Now those 3 best buddies have decided to visit again.
    1. would I be on a sure bet that its shuttle valves again & go straight to Option B? or should I put a nanocom on it to be sure?
    2. Am I OK to keep driving it with the 3 amigos alight?

I'm sure this has been covered before, but I was hoping to get both my answers in the one place.
    cheers,
    Alex

Brakes will still work , but no abs; therefore can skid. Always diagnose before repair. Lots of causes. Mine was a loose wire at ABS connector block. Search for 3 amigos symptoms and causes for one(ish) location - my userid for most symptoms and other threads. In good oil as well.

A1. Sounds like Option B is your answer. I also would try the green/yellow wire which plugs into the back of the SLABS. Wiggle this, see if it's loose. If it is that maybe your problem. If you can get it out (easily, without snapping it) leave it out and start your car. The three amigos should be present. If it's in firm just leave and go Option B. If you can read it (nanocom)at no cost, sure check it again, but pretty sure you'll have the same fault.

A2. Ok to keep driving. Pretty sure there are people who just drive for years without even thinking about it.

    Regards
    Andrew

I can vouch for the ability to drive with them lit; I did so for 7 years lol. Taped over the LED's in the cluster to get through RWC

Further info - ABS works, but i don't know/can't tell if its less effective than normal. Haven't had a chance to check TC but I assume it will work too, given it uses the same bits as ABS. (Never use HDC so I'm not too worried here, but the same assumption as above)
    Cheers
