    Someone to install winch in Sydney?

    Hey guys,

    I'm looking at buying the latest "new" generation 12,000 lb Ironman winch with rope. I've got the ARB Sahara bar on my 2004 D2a. I have a few questions if anyone can help?

    1. Has anyone bought this winch and installed it on an ARB Sahara bar? Does it fit OK? Anything tricky to be aware of?

    2. From people who own this winch, what is your recommendation? Are they reliable and well made? Any problems with them?

    3. Does anyone know of a good mechanic who can do the installation for me? Preferably for no more than $250. In Sydney metro area preferably. I'm in Fairfield East but don't mind driving if someone good is recommended and can do it on a Saturday.

    i have used a mobile guy before for barrier and snorkle fitting, he will probably do it.

    From your place, I'd be heading out to Brian Danielson, Land Vehicle Spares at Econo Place, Silverdale. Otherwise Carl Hendrickson 7B Pioneer Ave Thornleigh 9481 7363 (greenlight on this forum). They are a bit further down the street from Mannell Motors the ARB agent.

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    Mate i have one of the ironman winchs what you have and i have had no probs at all with mine if you were in melb mate i would do it for free and get you to help so you know how its gets done.........
