    Rear windows to go fully down! ?

    I was driven around in my D2 today, sitting in the rear found it very frustrating that the windows only go half way down.....

    Can this be changed? My C -Class Merc windows went all the way down, and my SAAB 93.

    Nope as the window will hit the wheel arch that is why they dont go all the way down

    And only going half way down, means all the dog / kid drool gets caught on the glass before it hits the paintwork...

    Poor show

    The classic 4 door RR has the same issue. Dads 1970,s Vauxhall Ventora was even worse, its back windows only went down a couple of inches! I gave this some thought and one fix would be to chop a triangle 100 x 100 mm out of the lower rear quarter of the glass (to allow it to drop further without hitting the wheel arch bit of the door frame) and add a similar sized bit of metal to the lower rear quarter of the window space to block the resulting hole from the missing glass. I concluded that this was far too hard, ugly and likely to end in tears.
