    Top Hose Change

    Hi All,

My top hose for the V8 has arrived incountry (PNG) and I intend to do the change later this week.

Any thing I should be aware of for this job? I thought about putting in some Barrs Leaks just for good meassure apart from the OATS coolant!

    Cheers Jerry

Find a good way to take off the original hose clamps?
Have some new worm drives to replace them?

use worm drive clamps fitted correctly as mentioned and leave the Barrs leak on the shelf in the shop.

Okay it's in! What's wrong with Barrs Leaks?

    Should I take it out?

If the cooling system is maintained as you are doing, why do you need it?

    Preventative maintainance really.

Very hot and humid here, much like Cairns in summer but all year round. Cooling and A/C systems working hard all the time etc on very poor roads.

There would be a real mountain to climb if a HG blew or small leak lead to overheating.

    Cheers
