Question Universal drawers to suit the rear of the D2?

Anyone know of any universal drawer systems that suit the rear of the D2?

I'm not wanting to go to the expense of vehicle specific drawers, and I also want them to be quickly and easily removed from the vehicle when not required/wanted. So what I am chasing is basically, a big rectangular drawer system that I can secure in place using the tie down points in the cargo area of the D2, like:

    Home made storage unit

I faced a similar problem. Not wanting to spend $1500 or more I bought the modular drawers that you can get at Bunnings or Costco. The drawers are $50 each at Bunnings. The modular metal frame was cut to fit. So I made a unit with one drawer at the bottom. Above that on the left side I installed a sliding fridge rack for the Engel. On the right side I fitted four sliding plastic drawers. On top of the unit I left enough space beneath the roof lining to squeeze in bags, swags and other bulky but light objects. The whole unit is solid as a rock, not too heavy, and means I am more organised than I have ever been. Total cost was about $250. It has survived an absolute hammering on my most recent trip.

Are drawers necessary? I have been offered a deal on ex-army solid plastic containers, 900x 550x380, they have a brand name, made in Melbourne. I was thinking a plywood shelf over the top, with tie down points, the deal is $500, for both. I could divide the drawers, into compartments. Bob
