    ARB Half Rack Questions

    Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone has fit an awning to an ARB Half Rack before? If so how did you go with it vibrating since its not bolted down on each end? I'm keen to set up this combo on my Disco since i've just purchased a half rack.

Also if you have, what sized awning? 2.5x2 or 2x2.5? (pics preferable if you have them!)

    Cheers,
    Shamo

I'd only go the 2m awning if that, the spacing on that rack to attach the awning is less than 1m apart.
That will be way too much overhang, and vibration.

I have roof rails at the front, I was thinking about fabbing up some sort of bracket to come off one and mount the awning at the front, wouldn't be massively sturdy but it would reduce vibration quite a lot.

Go one Rhino bar with RL280 leg and spacers, you can make it level.
Or go CXB kit on the crossbar.
    The RL280 will be stronger.

I already have some cross bars like the CXB, but I don't see how you could attach to them. Best I could do without having to buy the RL280 is building the bracket I guess. Do you know roughly how much a single cross bar would cost? I want to try and avoid getting everything too complex up on the roof bar wise to reduce drag as much as possible haha, plus it would look super messy. Thanks for your help so far though mate.

Does anyone know the measurement of the length of the roof? I'm up in Gladstone at the moment and my car is at home in Brisbane so I can't measure it at the moment...
