How did you manage to body lift a D2?
Mine started life with me a few years back, pretty standard save an ARB front bar, rock sliders, some lights and good shock absorbers.
I added some 265s and a small camel cut and had plenty of fun for a while.
Got sick of bottoming out so fitted lifted springs, body lift, huge camel cut, flares, 315s, Hi-Tough axles, Ashcroft diff gears, ARB lockers, an Xrox front bar, Britpart rear bar and a Tigerz11 12000Lb winch... and a few other bits and pieces. Still gets bogged but not so often. I spent a few $s along the way but every time I get off road in it it's worth it!!

I modified a D1 kit and fabricated a few parts, but it wasn't hard.
You can buy kits from a bunch of places online.
My front bar is set for body lift so the impact airbags will still function and I think the only other issues to contend with come with models with SLS and airbag suspension. My has coil springs so it was really just a case of undoing the bolts that hold the body to the chasis, unbolting the radiator, jacking the body off the chassis and fitting the billet spacer blocks. It looked ugly at first with gaps above the rear bar and between the sliders and doors. So I fitted a strip of sheet metal to fill the gap above the rear bar and made up new brackets for my rock sliders to fit them against the body again.
I sit legal over there? I know here and in other states SRS vehicles are a no, and if the engineer wants to say ACE is a Dynamic vehicle stability system that is part of the safety system of the car (ABS/TC) then they will outright deny any suspension lift as well.
I was speaking to an engineer for the dept of Transport here just a few weeks ago and no, bodylift on airbag vehicles is not legal, bars cannot be changed to suit a bodylift unless supplied with documentation to show the changed fittings comply with the crash testing standard of the vehicle. Ace does not preclude a lift being installed.
Then again, the body lift, suspension lift and tyres on this vehicle will take it over the maximum height allowable for a lift under the current rules anyway, the wheels look to be way over track judging by the offset of the rims and the extra flares fitted, so as there is no such thing as "a little bit illegal"...you may as well go the whole hog and have fun.....
Great looking D2 by the way and its a pity our modification rules are so restrictive because the D2s look good with biiiig rubber and lifts.
cheers

Mate really nice rig but you've really gotta sort out those sliders and rear bar! You can easily replace the plastic original slider on the side for a steel one, will give you heaps more clearance. The rear bar you should look in to cutting your quarter (since its already bent in haha) and having a bar like your front one wrap around the body.
When you had the smaller tyres, did you get the alloys powdercoated or did you do them black yourself?

Very nice, looks good.
I am about to go down a similar path. I already have the bars, lockers and sliders. I would have loved to put in a body lift, but after a chat with the engineer who ok'd my Rangie ute, he told me there is no way he could sign off on it. Unfortunately body lift on a D2 is illegal, well in Victoria anyway. I am going to go the Les Richmond route, which is a legal kit to allow the fitment of up to 35's.
How do you go with the 315's clearance and what size are they exactly. I have been trying to source some 35's that are no wider than 11.5" but that's not easy to do.
Also what offset rims did you get?
