Very flash! I'd hate to put it over a weight bridge!
Came across this on YouTube. It's interesting to see how much stuff you can squeeze into a D2 with if you really try.
It's pretty much an advertorial for South African 4x4 gear but still worth a look.

Yep with a full load of fuel and a couple of passengers it would have to be way over. A long while age I ran into the same issue speccing up land cruiser utes for mineral exploration. It got to the point with roll cages etc fitted that load capacity was around 100kg. Adding extra leaves to the springs helped but then axle weight capacity become a problem.
I also did some sums on my D2a few months ago as part of a caravan load analysis and, with fitted accessories, 2 pax/dog, full tank of diesel and 35kg canoe on roof I was at 380kg out of 730kg carrying capacity.
