    D2 won't lock

Just lately, the D2 won't lock using the lock button on the fob. All the doors are shut, the bonnet switch is a replacement,[ worked with this switch before] the collision button on the firewall is not activated. What happens is , close her up, press the lock button , horn sounds once, nothing. I have a wet patch on the passenger side headlining, near the door, and the battery is 3years old, multimeter reads 13.5 amps when running, any ideas? Cheers, Bob

What, if anything has been changed recently?...the bonnet switch, you say is a replacement, but the system was working with this in place, so is unlikeley to be the issue. However, you could try checking the switch is operating by checking continuity across it when the switch is open and closed, to ensure it is functioning.
For the horn to sound, generally is a pointer to one of the doors / bonet not being closed.
Does the system lock down / open from the consol mounted switch?
Have you changed the fob battery?

Yes to the first question, and the battery was changed before xmas. I'm wondering if , with all this rain, the fob may have picked up a bit of moisture, I normally keep it in my pocket. I will check the bonnet switch, but it was working ok. Thanks for the tips, the search goes on, Bob

Well, I thought that too, but it decided to work again just now, I tested it a couple of times, and it's back to normal. I can't help thinking it is water related, because it only started this when the rain came along. I do have a leak in the front top of the windscreen, only shows when the rain is heavy.I've attacked it with silastic, and it has slowed to a mere drop or two, but I think I have to drop the headlining and give the area a good checking out. What makes me think this is the receiver for the fob is on the roof under the headlining, just in front of where the rear sunroof would be if I had one.[ according to RAVE]. I do need another fob, but they are expensive, Bob
