Power Steering hose non ACE
I seem to have developed a bit of a leak in a power steering hose, repaired ATM with rescue tape (this stuff actually works, LOL) and a cable tie to get home.
Its the larger dia one from the reservoir (non ACE), it has worn a small hole by rubbing against what looks like the sump.
Obviously genuine will be a arm and a leg.
I have a Pirtek nice and close, I want to grab some hose but dont know the size to make it up, does anyone have the ID dia of the hose ?? As I dont really want to take it off till I have the replacement.
I am thinking of cutting the hose off below the collar on the pump and using that in place to connect the new hose with a clamp and then plug into the reservoir slightly rerouted to avoid this happening again.
Has anyone else complete this repair ???
The OEM part number might be good for Snitz and Giggles to see how much.
On this obviously its a good chance to change power steering fluid, how much do I need ??
Cheers Dazza

I don't know the hose size but it is a known rub point.
I'd be taking it off and getting Pirtek to make a new one.
They can use the existing fittings and crimp them on a new hose.
I've done this with a few hoses over the years(including the D2).
Less and stronger joins can only be a good thing.
