I've also traced that squeak on shut down to a belt tensioner failing. If you haven't replaced one in 211,000km then it should be done. Buy Genuine / OEM they aren't that $$$$.

Evening folks.
Tonight I was reading through some of the documentation supplied by the previous owner and I picked up on something that I'd missed.
According to the paperwork, about 1000km before I took owner ship of the vehicle it had the harmonic balancer replaced (at considerable cost as you know) along with the usual belts for a vehicle with 210000kms.
Hooray.
BUT
I've recently noticed the squeak on shutdown, which our friend over in England Urban Panzer describes as a warning of the harmonic balancer being on it's way out.
So my question is, have I got a dodgy, $1000+ harmonic balancer after 20000kms, or is there something else that creates a squeak right on shutdown?
Cheers
Muppet

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
My squeak was the engine acoustic cover fuel cooler bracket captive nut loose allowing the cover to move on shutdown...
Should probably rub out the original owners name and address in all fairness.
