Thread: Refuse to go above 3000 rpm

    I think that leaning towards regular changes for the auto is a good idea. When you think about it we have a 2.5 t vehicle using a high reving engine with an auto that is fairly high geared and then we make it work like a GT at lights and hook 30 ft boats on it! So the oil has to be worked hard, hard working oil = degradation = wear= more frequent changes required.
    However I stress this is MY thoughts only! I could be wrong............. The Mrs and kids tell me often enough!

    Spot on i reckon, and LR service schedule agrees as I read it. 20K km/12month change intervals on the transmission oils if towing, driving hill terrain, wading, dusty conditions or extended use in 35+°C temps.

    Similar problem to mine, waist gate rod was stuck, wasnt allowing the turbo to kick in.....
