    wierd tacho behaviour TD5 auto...

At speeds of around 80-90, in fourth under load, the tacho needle is continually hunting up & down by around 100-300rpm.
I've attached a short video of the dashboard while this is happening so you can see what I see.
It only does it in 4th. the next time I drove the same route with the same load as when I took the video I set the auto to "Sport" so it kicked down to 3rd (& around 3500rpm) at the point where in 4th this was occurring, and the hunting didn't happen.
Its not the MAF as its brand new - what else do I need to look at?
    TIA
    Alex

Are the revs actually hunting or is it purely a issue with what the tachometer is displaying. You'd probably want to use a diagnostic tool to monitor the revs the ECU is outputting. That would narrow down the issue to either ecu or instrument panel.

Long shot, but given its at just over 80 km in 4th - could it be related to the lockout?

Without easy access to a nanocom or similar all I can say is that it feels down on power & hesitant when it happens which makes me think the tacho is reading true & the revs really are doing something strange

do you mean the torque converter lock?
If so, this could be it - if the torque converter was locking & unlocking over & over again?

Yep - that's what I'm querying. Good luck!
