Waste gate may be stuck.
Fueling may be lacking..
But first, unplug MAF plug and go for a spin...
A Nanocom/Faultmate would help too...
Lacking abit of power at the moment. Thought it might have been the intake hoses. Replaced them with silicon hoses (old ones looked fine) and made no difference.
Problem is engine seems to rev till 1500-2000 then want rev anymore. But egt temps rise quickly.
If I go full throttle in 2nd. It will down shift to 1st. But want accelerate and up shift.
I phoned Romsey Landrover and he suggested lacking boost. So I bypassed the regulator on his advice. Made no difference.
Would a blocked fuel filter or dodgy fuel pump cause similar symptoms? But give high egt?
As I know on a diesel GQ Patrol a dirty filter causes high fuel usage and lower power.

Waste gate- will check that for movement tomorrow. I did twist the pivot point on the turbo and it does turn slightly.
MAF- disconnected and made no difference.
Nil access to a nanocom etc over weekend. Was just looking for things it fiddle with. Till I can trailer it to somewhere.
Going to change filter in the morning. As I have a spare of them.
Will get google to search for some more topics.
I am going through Bendigo tomorrow morning. You can borrow my Nanocom if you wish. I can pick it up on my way home that evening.

I had read that it could be a clogged exhaust. But kind of dismissed it.
Well I was silly to do that. I disconnected the exhaust from the turbo. And problem fixed.
Had the faulty cat removed last Tuesday. And car now runs better than it ever has.
Had a look in the old cat. The internals bits had completely broken away. And had rolled it self into a ball and jammed in the exhaust.
The workshop guys had to belt it a couple of times to dislodge it.
Anyway. Car now runs so much better egt only get to 550 and that's accelerating up hill. And they sit on 320c at 100km/h.
