The digital clock I didn’t care much for, but poking buttons in the dark to set the climate control started to become a nuissance…
RAVE will tell that the head unit has to come off in order to get to the Air Temperature Control (ATC) unit, this IMHO is sheer nonsense. Much better taking out the digital clock and the button pack on each side of the ATC, then pressing on the metal tabs and the ATC pops off nicely.
No backlighting on ATC & digital clock (not a VG picture I am afraid, too much light and digital clock not shown):
To get the digital clock / button pack off, hire 2 thin plastic cards (credit cards no good, need to be thinner and flat).
Press the cards in horizontally and feel the tabs being pushed apart, should be able to pull the module out by slowly pulling on the cards while ‘sandwiching’ the module:
Same thing for the button pack:
Now the ATC metal tabs can be seen from either side. Press them in simultaneously and push the ATC from behind:
ATC out:
Remove 2 ea screws in the U shaped holes:
Carefully remove the back cover and undo the flat cable connector:
Free the back cover:
There are (6) bulbs in the ATC:
The bulbs come out with a ¼ LH turn.
LCD backlight (3 ea):
Press buttons (1 ea):
Temperature rocker switches (2 ea):
ATC after replacing bad bulbs:
Now on the digital clock:
Nudge the felt tape aside to give access to the bulb:
The bulb also pops free with a ¼ LH turn:
As for the dashboard I did not photo-document the disassembly process but it is fairly straightforward, the dashboard PCB looks as follows:
And has (5) bulbs (rear view):
The bulbs are:
Blue / main beam p/n YAW100050 (1 ea)
Brown / main illumination p/n YAW100040 (3 ea)
Grey / LCD backlight p/n YAW100020 (1 ea)
Did not bother looking for OEM replacement bulbs, surely there are dozens of different options.

Great post. My clock and LH temp control lights are out. Any one here have any suggestions as to where one might get some thin plastic to remove clock?
Dave.
I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
