Someone told me today that the battery controller should be located as close to source battery as possible. Is this correct?

I am using a SC-80 and it is located at the secondary battery end. Maybe Drivesafe will see this and answer.

G’day Walker and your SC80 is fine where it is.

If it was any other brand of isolator, it would need to be fitted as close to the cranking battery as possible, otherwise the isolator can oscillate on and off continually.

The SC80 works in a completely different manor to all other isolators, and can be mounted in the rear cargo area next to your auxiliary battery and it will function exactly as it is supposed to.

BTW, your set up looks pretty good.
