That will look good when it is finished. What size is the battery?
The back of the Disco is a mess right now. I am hoping it will look a bit better
when I'm finished. ;-)
Spent the weekend adding a 2nd battery and installing a new air compressor and
tank to be used to control the airbags.

Dave.
I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."
1983 RR gone (wish I kept it)
1996 TDI ES.
2003 TD5 HSE
1987 Isuzu County
It's only a 55a/h yellow top. It doesn't sound big but I have been told it is the equivalent of most larger less quality batteries......and the load I put on it won't be much anyway.
It is for neither. It will provide air for a manually controlled air spring system. I have installed the factory style airbags (with 2" spacers) but I am not using the rest of the factory control gear.
I had SLS on my last D2 and although I loved the airbags, the control gear and compressor let me down many times.
Tanks is 4 liters I think.
Nice work, your truck is looking good. I've been thinking along the same lines for a while now. I've ended up making a fibre glass switch panel in place of the side vent, which is where I'd be putting the controls for the compressor when, and if i ever get around to it.

Sorry about the pic. Best viewed lying down
Where did you get the tank from?
You could even put the compressor in that space, I did on the last D2.
This setup doesn't even have any switching for it. The compressor is controlled by a 145psi pressure switch on the tank, so it can start up anytime it's needed. Airbags can be raised or lowered from 2 switches on dash and I will also plumb in a line to a socket on the rear bumper for pumping up tyres.
Lockers are controlled via a seperate smaller compressor under the front seat.
All the air gear came from Air Ride in Bayswater, Melbourne.
Nice set up Mr W...
Thanks Mr. H
Spent today tidying up and finishing of the air system.
Tank and battery
Compressor and valve block. I still need to make a cover for the valve block but the battery, tank and compressor will all be protected once I mount the rear drawer system.
Air pressure gauge.
Switches
Finally a connector to plug in the hose to pump up tyres.
