    D2 Suspension Bushes

I posted a thread on this a while ago, however it was the same time the site went down and it disappeared so I will try again.

I am about to replace all of the suspension bushes on the D2 and was wondering if there where any recomendations on what to use.

I am looking at the SuperPro bushes at the moment for radius arm bushes etc with castor corrected ones for the front and Britpart bushes for the flogged out ones in the watts linkage.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Also, it appears that SuperPro do a 2° and 3° castor correction bush.

Any thoughts on what would be better for a 50mm lift (65mm unloaded)?

I know that it has been mentioned that castor correction is not required for the smaller lifts, however mine needs it, especially now with the wider tyres as the steering is just too light.

I have to do mine for the roadworthy to finally change the rego over to my name so I also would be very interested in peoples recommendations.

Also does anyone have a rough guide on pricing to replace all the suspension bushes front and rear? May as well get it done properly (yes I've got the disco bug real bad)

    Cheers

    From the information I have found I will be using the following;

Genuine bushes for the watts linkage (apparently you can get poly but I don't know where)

Superpro bushes everywhere else with 3degree corrected bushes for front radius arms to diff.

Will be bring my caster back to 3.5 degrees instead of 0.5 degrees.

iirc the watts link it is only the outer arms (connecting chassis) that are poly, the centre upper and lower and middle roller are rubber. i tried britpart kit but the guys that pressed the bushes tightened the bolts on the arms and i did not slacken them off before fitting, thus flogging out the upper and lower central bushes.
bought another watts link from the wrecker which is holding up.

How are you finding the superpro bushes CJT?

    Anyone using the floflex ones?

That looks fairly reasonable for the price. Has anyone purchased this or another kit? For that matter has anyone replaced specific bushes and if so what bushes did you use?

I have tried to search but there doesn't seem to be a lot of information here that I can find.

    Cheers

Les Richmond Automotive recommend 4* for lifts from 25mm to 75mm and 6* for lifts from 50mm to 100mm, so probably the 3* bushes would be most appropriate.

Personally I have 6* correction on my 3" lift and am happy with it. No adverse effects in the driveline.

    Hey CJT,

I think I read in one of the threads that you intended to use front castor correction bushes in the rear to role the diff and hopefully align the watts link better.

Just wondering if you did and how it went as SuperPro list a different part number front to back even for the 0 castor correction.

    Happy Days.
