Thread: Les Richmond Automotive Stage 2 Flare Kit Pictures

Seems a bit senior like to lose a complete "mudflat" Did the skippers and yabbies go too?

I found it hard over Christmas/New Years to find time to look at the rear flares. Finally got a chance the other day and started on the passenger rear side.

I measured it all up, following the pictures in this thread and more so those on the LRA website. Checked and double checked it all. Started the cuts being a bit cautious as I could always file, cut or grind some more off.

I started with the door, and am very disappointed with the fit of the flare to it. The flare is on an angle which is causing it to contact the vehicles body when shutting the door:







This is despite the flare being fitted hard up against the door preventing it from going on any further to avoid contacting the vehicles body:







I have filed some of the fibreglass down to achieve a tighter fit, but it will require a lot more work to get anywhere near right...

I continued and installed the flare on the rear quarter pannel. In doing this I then also noticed that the door flare does not stick out as far as the rest of the flares:










The shape of the flares at the end even seems to be different when compared with the drivers side one:




I'm heading bush on a 4WD trip tomorrow, so will chase this up with LRA when I return. For now I decided not to hack up the drivers side of my vehicle, so am driving around with the front and only one rear side done!

yes agree same with mine the flairs (considering the price) are very rough and unrefined not what I would have expected. if ordered some flairs from the UK which are wider by 1 cm so will see how they go.

I see your problem, twr7cx. You are either wearing no socks or socketts with boots. Both are as big of a problem as he other.
