    D2 Headlight Levelling

    Hi All

Just thought I'd create a post advising how constructively I used the Queens Birthday morning to improve one of her Kingdoms finer products.

I recently purchased a Headlight Levelling Switch and the two little levelling motors from Ebay UK. Installed the interior switch in about 5 mins and the two motors in around 40 mins, most of the 40 mins was spent cleaning mud and dirt out of the levelling connector sockets on the headlight looms (Had constructively spent Sunday at Zig Zag Powerlines, Lost City and Spanish Steps, where there was some mud )

Hey presto it all works.........as if I expected it not to .

Just got to wait for the dark to arrive so I can set them up a little better and test.

    Cheers / Andy

No problem, I'll take a couple of the motors tomorrow during daylight and post them on.

Tested the lights earlier this evening, was quiet good fun as the little servo motors did their thing and moved the lights up or down.

Will have to take it out on an unlight country road to make final adjustments as Sydneys Inner West is has just too much street lighting to really check the beams are aligned properly, though made basic settings against the garage door.

I'm following a similar path, trying to get my HID lights up to ADR requirements. Can you post the ebay items you used. I'm lazy, and would rather not reinvent the wheel etc....
    Thanks

No, different setup, D2a has a complete unit incorporating the motors where fitted

Here you go, some pics of installed motors and switch.

Of all the improvements/upgrades I've made this has to be one of the easiest to install.

I log on to www.ebay.co.uk and search "Discovery 2 Levelling" brings up a few options -I bought mine from skan4x4 who was easy to communicate with and posted very quickly, which was more than could be said for the supllier of the interior levelling switch.

Hope this helps, PM me if you get the parts and need any more advice - they really are very easy to fit.
