May have a failing resistor block. It determines the fan speed and maybe on the way out. Use rave to locate it properly. In the cabin with the heater box.
My blower stopped working a while back, then after a few weeks mysteriously worked again. All speeds etc. Then it stopped completely, and I replaced the blower motor with a used one... and then I only had air blowing on the max setting, but at least I had air blowing again. This lasted for two weeks or so, and now the blower has stopped working completely again. Any ideas on where to start? I guess i'll test the new (used) blower again by directly getting 12v to it to check it's working.... could there be something killing the blowers? An overload?

x3, As bsperka and gazk say it will be the resistor , possibly burnt out, which they do . It is what determines your fan speeds by dropping the voltage down, or 'resisting ' the voltage which causes it to heat up to a great degree depending on the speed selected, slower= more resistance = more heat which is why they are always positioned in the cooling airflow.

Also agree, that it is the resistor block if the fan is only blowing at Max speed.
As you said, the air con was not working at all for a few weeks, i would suspect a poor solder in the fuse box.
My Air Con was intermittent for a while, either working or not and I traced it back to a dry joint in the fuse box.
