Well for me its mostly brown stuff hitting the rotating air movement device.By saying that the 'front section of the pulley' I take it that it has split? which motor? is a V8 or td5? I have seen the pulley bearing seize up but that only shreds the belts or breaks the tensioner. Cant say I have ever seen a pulley come off like that aprt from the old V_belt type splitting from wear. Theres a first for anything of course and a good plug for a water alarm!

Am sure that copper rads are available. Check your local radiator place.
