you mean on the flex hose crimp...

just buy an OEM replacement or get one made up and have the radiator cooler fittings modded for the new lines at somewhere like pirtek.

Have the replacement hoses from a previous problem[trans oil cooler cracked] BUT now I have another problem ---how do you remove the top hose connection on the auto box I can see that it is a 19mm bottom one undid easily top one very awkward and not much room is there a trick???? or aren't I holding my mouth correctly?

I drove past screaming "Land Rover Down, Land Rover Down" in the passenger seat much to the drivers amusement, but didn't see anyone hanging around the vehicle.

Wasn't until I saw it on the back of the tilt tray going through Malanda that I realised it was yours and let out a few expletives on your behalf.

its one of those swing it a little bit, remove the spanner, turn it around insert the spanner from a different position, move it a little more, take it out put in back in in the same place after having turned the spanner around move it a little bit more put the spanner in the second place, move it to the second location and turn it a little more.

congratulations, you just completed the first 60 degree turn of a flare nut that has about 4000000000000000^e30 turns of thread on it.

Oh and be bloody careful you don't round the edge of the nut because then you wont get it past half a turn...

What does it say in that book of yours on how to remove that top hose connection on the gearbox?

Theres a reason I dont normally do autos.......

    as for pulling the connection.

spend an age cleaning it down with degreaser in a can, it gets grit behind the seal releasing mechanism which prevents its full range of movement so it doesnt usually move far enough to release, if you put too much pressure on it with the mechanism almost but not quite in far enough you damage the fitting. Not a problem if you're replasing the hose and fitting, big problem if you just need to disconnect it for some other reason.
