Disco unlocks itself?
Has anyone heard of a Disco unlocking itself?
The reason I ask is that I was away for 10 days and my Disco was parked and locked in the carport. When I came home I pressed the remote to unlock the car and nothing happened, no lights flashed and I couldn't hear the doors unlock. I initially though the battery had gone flat but when I went to insert the key in the drivers door to open it I saw it was already unlocked. Then I saw someone had been in the car and all my stuff from the centre console was strewn all over the floor and passenger seat. Not only that they had ripped the piece of trim off above the glove box. They stole my maglite torch, my leatherman tool as well as a donation tin and the money I was collecting for a charity
The battery wasn't flat as the car started ok and the doors locked, unlocked ok after I started it.
This is the second time I've left my Disco sit for a few days finding it unlocked on my return.
I'm 100% positive I locked the car before leaving.
Has anyone experienced this or heard of it happening?

Not quite the same but I've just resolved a door lock issue.
On ours the alarm went off for no reason late at night
It had been parked and locked for 3 days.
On inspection the drivers door(not sure of others) was unlocked and interior lights where on.
I couldn't relock it with the fob or key.
I left it till daylight at this stage.
On inspection the key would only work in one direction when tried.
Dropped the door trim of and unplugged the loom from the lock.
All the other doors worked the interior light as they should.
The nanocom showed the drivers door remained open when clearly shut.
Just fitted a new door lock and problems solved.

I thought I was imagining things or had forgotten to lock the car - sometimes happens, sometimes not, don't even have to leave it for days, it has happened in less than an hour while I've been shopping...

Well it's a worry now that it's going to unlock itself if I leave it for a while.

I would doubt that the car is unlocking itself as such. I think it would be as Alien said, a door lock is faulty and is either popping back up after locking or not even locking. All of which points to a faulty lock mechanism, of which we know happens with D2's.
As a point of interest Is driver door or single point entry enabled on your car?
A thought just hit me, If the car is in an accident the ineria switch on the firewall unlocks the doors in addition to switching the engine off, could be another thing to bear in mind. Maybe the old carpark bump ? although I assum it would ahve to be a good bump!
Cheers Scott

All my doors unlock together when fob button pushed. I doubt it would have been bumped as it was sitting in my carport and all doors were unlocked.
