Trouble starting with new ecu
Hi all, i need a little nudge in the right direction with this one.
Ok, vehicle is a 99 disco 2 td5 auto with ace and sls. I have been following the threads that concerns upgrading ecu's from the MSB unit To a NNN unit. The thread by Offtrack has been particularly interesting. Following on from this I purchased a NNN000130 and a new map to suit my vehicle.
I then installed the NNN into my vehicle and successfully uploaded the remap using a Nanocom 1.
The issue is car will not start at all and the M&S lights flash. When reading ecu faults it reports a problem with the driver demand (suspect it is set wrong ie. a 3 track instead of a 2 track), if so can I set this with Nanocom?
The injector codes have not been set yet either. Can this cause the td5 to not start? I would have thought that it would start but run a little rough perhaps?
What else am I missing? Security coding etc?
I am going back out to the vehicle now to reset the codes for the injectors.
Thanks for any help.
Mike

You have to tell the ECU to "learn" the security codes. I can't recall the exact phraseology at the moment, however, you will find it easily enough scrolling the Nano pages.

Thanks for the quick reply Strangy.
I changed the injector codes and the accelerator from 3 track to 2 track and wrote them to the ecu, then I did as you said and its all good. No faults recorded either.
I just did not want to go about pressing buttons and changing settings that I am not familiar with.
Now to take it for a drive and see how the new map works.
Once again, thank you very much.
Cheers,
Mike
