    Top of my fan shroud is torn up rather recently however was not the issue yet to get in and look at bottom half lol have bought gear oil anyway didnt have syntrans but says its ok for mine if the clutch is shot ill need to change oil a second time anyway haha praying this isnt gonna kill my pocket fuel prices are already doing that thanks for help so far appreciate the help

    ATF in an R380 isn't a good idea. It isn't recommended by LR anymore and hasn't been for a fairly long time

    Ok updates cant do tranny oil dont have the correct spanner but i did lock cdl an went for a drive got real noisy any left hand dwn it starting knocking did a uturn and almost stopped moving felt like front axle didnt want to turn? Any thoughts? Bout to jack up front and c if it turns freely with cdl unlocked

    Done, ok in neutral with cdl unlocked and one wheel in air spins in gear no spin cdl locked neutral or not no spin cos one wheel is on the ground? That right? Cdl locked or unlocked both wheels in air in gear both wheels spin but drive shaft to box doesnt spin tho? Should it? My head hurts

    Sorry bout all the question but does anybody know what type of spanner i need to open filler plug? Looks star like? Cheers

    The gearbox fill plug is a T55 Torx.

    And make sure you can undo the filler plug before draining the oil or you could be left in all sorts of trouble.

    Dont worry i learnt that lessom once before with my old sigma...ended up filling it through the shifter haha drain plug is the 17ish size bolt i assume? And are transfer box plugs just the 1/2" square bolts? Can i use the same oil?

    If you were driving one a sealed road with the CDL locked and doing a tight turn you will get noise and juddering as you are forcing 50/50 drive through the front and rear diffs and winding up the axles. There will be no compensation through the centre diff for the different ark the wheels take.

    All your other tests sound normal with CDL in and out.
