    Yeehah the plips now work

I bit the bullet today and removed part of the headlining and replaced the RF receiver for the plips.
It LIVES. My key worked first time and the second key worked after a sync with the Nanocom. I had previously bought a little RF receiver on Ebay which indicates whether the plips are sending a signal, which they were. The plips were stuffed when I bought the car and I bought new cases and replaced a microswitch in one of them.

The plips have not worked for 7 years at least according to PO the complete time they owned the car.

    A few hints.
Rave simply says"remove the trim above the rear door" What the? I finally took a chance and levered it forward and that proved correct, thank goodness.

I removed the LH D pillar/side trim, the LH B pillar trim, the LH grab handles Fand R and I had to remove the DVD screen before I could reach in to undo the bolts on the RF receiver.
I have arab tent disease big time but that will have to be for another time.
For now I am luxuriating in my plips.

    Regards Philip A

7 years Having something that does not work and knowing it should / can work would drive me crazy in the first week! let alone 7 years! Some have the patience ( or is it slackness? ) of a saint! HA HA ,.
Enjoy the flashing and bips now.

    Cheers Scott
