    Wiper switch (STC4016) servicing

    Hi
I got sick of the wiper playing up, not turning on or a delay so i bought a new one.
After replacing it i had a look to see if it could be serviced and yes i think it is relatively easy

Carefully unclipp the back section with a small screwdriver x 4.
Wriggle and pull gently and the back section should come out.
Mine was all gunked up with old grease and corrosion, picture after cleaning.
Clean contacts with a switch solvent or a plastic friendly solvent.
Clean copper contacts with an abrasive, i used a chux patch.
Re apply a light grease, i used a silicon because it was what i had.
Refit the back section with a gentle push and finished.
