Has anyone fitted LRA "GREEN" to the front of a D2
I have a set of "green" OEM springs at home which are the same length and wire as LRA green 16.2 inches free length 160lb with 14.1MM wire and I measure about 9.5 turns. These were originally rear springs on my 92 RRC.
I took them off the front of the RRC as they gave 2inch lift and when the trailer was added, the front rose and I lost all caster.
At that time LRA "green " springs were made 1/2 inch shorter at 15.6 inches so I bought a set, and after a lot of hassle because the spring maker had mislabelled some other springs as green, I was happy with the 11/2 inch lift. LRA "green" are now back to 16.2 inches and I believe are identical to OEM "green"
So my question if anyone has fitted LRA "green" to the front of a D2 TD5 and if so how much lift did they give. The TD5 is much heavier than a V8 but the ride heights look similar between a standard TD5 and V8.
RAVE says that the standard front spring on a TD5 is "white /purple" with 15 inch free length and 13.9 MM wire and 7.6 turns which implies to me that the green spring should give 1.2inch lift as I believe the "green" spring will have about the same rate as the standard spring and it is 1.2 inches longer.
Any experience helpful as I would like to use what I have .

You should be able to work out what the compressed length of the spring will be from this chart on the LRA website,
providing you know the loading on the front axle for your setup.
cheers
