33" on D2 does anyone have them engineered ?

    hello,

Just got caught in a random breath control which was no issue for me however was lucky to get away with my 33 inch tyres.

Copper mentioned next time he wants to see the engineering certificate.

Does someone have 33 inch tyres engineered on his D2?

What is the maximum tire size I can get away with without engineering certificate?

does someone know a four-wheel-drive friendly engineer in Sydney?

    Thanks a lot

    slunnie might know.
245/70/16 is the largest in nsw as 235/70 is standard and can only go 15mm bigger diameter, from my research on the topic.

    Were you engineered for 265?
Agreed, Slunnie will be the one to talk to.

Guess being defected by Mr Plod kind of puts a dent in a year long lap plan

okay, just coming back from an engineer and I'm $600 lighter in my pocket I have four pages of changes I need to make to get my car engineered.

The good news is I can keep my 5 inch lift as well as my 33 inch tyres however I will need new wheels with 40mm less offset then my current dynamics 16x8.

Still having problems getting around these whole wheel dimension and offset thing does anyone know the offset the dynamics wheels have?

Will also need to book a weekend in Orange to get a lane changing test and braking test. Apparently Eastern Creek is booked out for weeks in advance and charges an arm and a leg so Orange is the better alternative.

Do you really need a 5" lift and such big wheels?

Dont know what you use it for but what about putting this vehicle on a trailer and towing it to what ever you use it for / where ever you go?

and got any pics of it? sounds pretty big

How come the previous owner hasn't got this sorted?
Let me know when you decide to head up, and where you're getting it done and I'll be able to help out if you need a hand finding your way around
Plus I get to have a stickybeak at a sweet D2

@ HayEwe There are a lot of things in life I don't need but some things I just want

    @DiscoMuppet

I will have a chat with Bruce Davis tomorrow to get all the stuff sorted, the biggest hurdle are really the wheels which protrude out far too much and exceed my RMS limits of 25mm tolerance. My front wheel track specs as per Handbook are supposed to be 1540mm but I have 1645 mm. so I need to find some wheels with far less offset. once they have all changes done I will book an appointment with Treeve Andrews ( hopefully on the weekend) to do the lane change and brake test will let you know as soon as I know the date.
