D1/RRC vs D2 front driveshaft disintegration?

I don't recall ever seeing anything on D1/RRC front driveshafts disintegrating like some on D2s, so would I be right in thinking it was not an issue (assuming D1/RRC normal maintenance etc)?
    Cheers Gavin

The only problem with the D2 shaft is the double cardan joint & the difficulty of getting fresh grease into it.

RRC & D1 are just regular universals that are easily greased.

Weren't D2 prop shafts not able to be greased? I don't have a D2, but people keep referring to them as "non servicable" but getting them rebuilt with aftermarket joints so they can be serviced.

Most of them are rebuilt with greasable Uni joints in the DC, but the centre bearing still isn't greasable. I would recommend a shaft where the centre bearing is also greasable, when that fails it also takes out the unis and then the whole shaft breaks not long after.
