Thanks Ollie, just dropped you a PM.
I've installed the C1600 as per Slunnies instruction, however on looking over the information sheet I'm confused as to where the dip switches should be. Mathematics was never my strong point...
I would be very grateful if someone can help me out on the dip switch selection -
I have a stock auto Discovery 2a V8 - 2003 running with 265/70r16 tyres. (31" diameter). my diffs are still factory - Ratio - 3.54:1 ?
thanks Lee
I'm going to install mine tomorrow so will let you know how I go but I was hoping that new tyre size / old tyre size would give me the rough ratio to work with but I may be completely wrong.
I have heard it's a bit of trial and error finding it otherwise.
I fit mine last night - took it for a test drive this morning before work and the needle on the speedo hasn't moved a bit. This as expected is not recording the trip distance on the dash cluster... not good.
Wiring - 12vdc (powered by key turn in ignition) to red wire / black wire to ground on chassis (up high on left hand side of glove box) / Green wire (No blue wire on my C1600) to Pink/Green wire going into Grey connector on SLABS ECU / Brown wire going to the cut Pink/Green wire running with rest of wire cluster / White wire not used.
Trial and error... but forever grateful for assistance..
Thanks
So I had my green and brown wire the wrong way round! Uber idiot - with the current dip settings I'm running 5 kph slower compared to a GPS.
Trial and error on dip switches now...
Thanks Ollie
Mine arrived today.
i have the same diff ratios and sized tyre what was the dip switch combo you used?
Mick
As an FYI on my 245/75/16 I had 10101010101010
Standard. Diff sizes won't make a difference to the speed I don't believe from the earlier posts, but a may be wrong
Shakey - do you have auto or manual / TD5 or V8?
I've got my speed spot on with GPS, but find the gear changes are happening with higher RPM.
Settings are - 00011010
