For a 40mm lift and your type of off-roading, I'd be saying no.

Given the totally crapped nature of the shaft getting the bearing caps out is proving difficult, and I've ended up damaging the TC end yoke, so it needs to be cleaned up and rebuilt.
I ran the 1000+Km up to Glenreagh with the centre diff locked in 2WD no worries, it just feels a bit funny in tight cornering.
I've got a temporary shaft in from Xtreme but if I had the money lying around it would be a Tom Woods in positions 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Might as well do it now and not worry about it.
