MY03 has anchor points (loop) on the back of the seat. Can't comment on other MYs.
Hi all.
Probably a stupid question, but I now need to fit a second baby seat (capsule ) into the d2. I have 1 already in there, mounted in the middle of the 2nd row. I have no problems with that, and the anchor point in the center, above the rear door. The new baby will go on the 2nd row too, but I can't find any anchor points for it. Above the rear door are the head restraints for the 3rd row... Any ideas?
The hole in the back of the backrest, half way down?

Hi Blindin...
Do you have the handbook that comes as part of the vehicle?
Kids seats can only be placed in the 2nd row...the 3rd row is for "big" kids...where the law says the occupant does not need to be in a booster seat or similar.
So, the outboard seats of the 2nd row have the tether point in the middle of the backrest, and the inboard is tethered to the point in the rear bulkhead above the rear door.![]()
Wait till you put three seats across the 2nd row... Tight squeeze!
Yes, that the spot (half way down on the back of the seat. You can buy the anchors from supercheap auto that bolt straight in.
OML that's nothing. We have x5 kids under 6 years old...
x3 in the middle row + x2 in the back cargo (5 seat to 7 seat conversion we did) it did my darn head in...
I have a 2000 S2... happy to help where I can LOL ...
wopac5 - sorry and I don't mean to be rude... that handbook must be from hogwash acadamy.... I have two happy kids in the cargo space - BUT IT IS AGE DEPENDENT. To be honest it's the naughty space... I have our 2 year old in his safe and sound Royale seat (anchored) and our 5 year old in one of those Travel Booster high back seats (non anchored)...and as much as seats can be configured and changed around... I would have to say, cargo space for those that can sit in 'booster' seats is the way to go. It can get a bit squishy for the legs of those in a traditional anchored car seat.
I will admit too that rear facing is good in the cargo space for a car seat BEFORE forward facing. Forward facing in a car seat while the kid/s are smaller are ok, other wise, long legs = kicking the "back" of the middle row = antsy pantsy kids in the middle row grrrrr.... so once kids are forward facing I would recommend on my experience to put them in the middle row If you can.
As mentioned, we have x 5 kids 6 years and under utilising various combination of seating configurations in the middle and cargo area... as mentioned, msg me... happy to help....if you are local to me, happy to drive to you and help also
congrats on the bubs too :-D.. woot woot
Cheers

Thanks for the help guys.
yep, worked it out pretty quick, the plug in the back of the chair.
2 new anchor points, and they fit nicely. The car is only really used for off road, but while my parents are here on holiday it has worked quite well with the extra seats. My wife in the middle, capsule on 1 side, baby seat on the other, my mum in the 3rd row, dad and me up front.
Just need to get the new borns neck strong enough and we'll be out 4x4ing.
