No other audio sauce works. I have tried front and rear USB input as well as 3.5 mm aux input with the iPhone. Both input are recognized I can even control the iPhone audio from the JVC but no sound comes out. I might post in the electronics section and see if a Techy there can help. Good radio audio when solid signal available

Well I connected a 2 RCA out pioneer HU tonight and got no audio from any source.

Do I need to connect the remote turn on wire to something? I don't think I do as the radio comes through fine. I'm getting very frustrated.
Any ideas?

Are you sure you have an 11 speaker HK system? An amplifier under the front passenger seat?
Subwoofers on tail gate?

Yep and mids have Harmon Kardon on them and on stickers on the magnets. And subs on tailgate

I remember looking at a wiring circuit for the 11 speaker system recently... and I am sure there was a remote activation wire from the original radio..

This pin-out should help... there is definitely a remote required... it turns on the Antenna amplifier and the under seat amp according to Crutchfield.

No idea why your radio is working when nothing else is... this might help your radio reception too... not that it is wonderful on the Disco...lol

The factory unit seems to have 2 antenna plugs one big and one small. What are they for?

AFAIK one is for AM and the other is for FM, I think both are amplified when you connect the remote lead.

There is a schematic for the entertainment system in Rave... I dont have it on this laptop but it should show the connections.

Possibly talk to a Car Stereo specialist about an adapter.

On base and midline ICE systems an AM/FM aerial is built-in to the side window glass on the RH side of the vehicle. An amplifier is located on the frame above the rear side widow behind the rear quarter trim, and is secured (and earthed) with one bolt. Coaxial leads connect the aerial to the aerial amplifier and radio cassette. Power is supplied from the auxilary relay in the engine compartment fuse box, through a fuse in the passenger compartment fusebox to the amplifier."

Hmmm. Makes me think that some how I am Turing the audio amp on when I turn on the radio at the same time as turning on the radio amp. I have printed the wiring diagram from rave and have a sparky mate coming over to see if we can nut it out.
