Thread: Hose Delamination

Yes the sides get sucked in when the engine is running causing the issues and you may not be able to see it BUT you should definitekly be able to feel it. Stick your finger in the pipes and see if the guts (lining) feels loose / "wrong".

Grab a set of decent 'blue' pipes from MR Automotive (or similar) to replace the OE ones.

You should be able to see it, a hose carrying pressurised air will not collapse unless the air gets in between the layers of the hose. Usually you get a flap the partially or fully blocks the hose, air gets through but not as much or as easily. I have not had an issue with the Td5 but did have a turbo hose split on the 300 Tdi, replaced with silicone and has been ok since.

I do plan to get/replace them but in the mean time I am trying to find my problem.

As a get me home you can strip the delaminated inner out of the hose and reinstall it again - keep driving and get it fixed asap.

Thanks Slunnie. After seeing the photo, delamination is not my problem. Back to the drawing board.

Dunno mine was delaminating and lookednothingliek that. I think theremight be a difference beween delaminating and DELAMINATED !!!!!

Mine were delaminating loss of power put silicon ones in all good now looked nothimg like photo change them any way to be safe.

I must have had a special delamination then!
