DO YOU HAVE A NANOCOM EVO? td5 auto check....please

Morning all, I'm in the process of troubleshooting an issue I have with the auto lockup not engaging.

In short, can someone please connect their nanocom evo up to your car and check to see if the engine temp reading found under the auto gearbox section reads the same as the engine temp reading in the Td5 section.

From memory, to find the engine temp in the auto gearbox area you go to inputs, general, then scroll three across.

    Hope you can help

As I have posted elsewhere on the forum to the same question:

The Gearbox uses the engine temperature but the Nanocom engine module applies a correction factor, whereas the Nanocom gearbox module does not. The two figures show the same information but the values are different.

The X432 iDiag does not correct the Engine temp reading when checking the ECU live data and it is the same as the gearbox reading.

I'd go and take screenshots of the devices to prove this is the case, but the D2 is up at Manuel Transmissions having the auto rebuilt....

    Paul, thanks.

Different by 40deg.....well done Nanocom. In any case, this for what I can gather is not the issue as it locks and doesn't lock across an array of tempreture readings - 52 - 62 (while the REAL temp of the engine is around 90).

Out of curiosity I plugged the nanocon in for a run to the shops. Both figures are different:

    • Outside Air temp - 30 deg
    • Engine screen temp - 84 deg
    • Auto screen Engine temp - 51 deg.

The car is running fine and all solenoids are moving as and when they should.

    Cheers

Thanks Steve. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

And thanks Paul for offering and for all your other help.
