    Manual Td5 over revving

    Hi Guys

I've just replaced the fuel block pressure regulator and gasket on my 2000 Td5 manual as it was leaking. It's now over revving when changing gears, in particular 2nd into 3rd. So when releasing the accelerator the revs continue to climb, sometimes as much as 500 rvs ... somethings not right!
I've got oil in the injector harness that's made it's way down to the ecu and am currently addressing that but any other ideas greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Craig

    Thanks Tombie!

Would that explain the cruise control working intermittently?
Is there adjustment in the switch or do I need to replace?

Ok ... clutch switch appears to be in the correct position with no obvious damage.

How can I tell if it's working correctly?

Set cruise control, quick stab of clutch pedal & if switch is good cruise will cancel.

Yep ... Clutch switch replaced along with the fluid ... a very simple, cheap fix. The switch was full of gunk.
    Thanks guys!
