    Turbo noise

    Hi guys, need ur expert experiences

    My d2 td5 has developed a strange turbo noise on start up.

    When u start it and then go for a drive the first 10seconds or so it kind of squeals then goes away, and only comes on when boost is positive, checked all piping which is silicon etc cannot see any defects

    Could it be the exhaust manifold ?

    Anyone have a similar experience

    Sure it's turbo noise and not belt squeal?
    Sounds like the manifold though, checked for soot around the manifold?

    Though my opinion is far from expert, my money is on the exhaust manifold as well...

    if its only when you have the boot in and boost is positive its the manifold nuts.

    if its worse or only when you first start it up its something belt driven.

    Start with the water pump pully and the harmonic balancer.
