    Thermo fan.

    Hey all,

The a/c Thermo fan stays on when the engine is on, regardless of the a/c being on or off. It even runs when over 40kmh when it is mean to turn off.

Have tried swapping the relay thinking it may have stuck, no luck.

    Any ideas?

It may be a pressure switch that's stuck on, or the engine temp sensor is reading high.
I'm not sure on the d2s exactly, but on the p38s, there's two pressure switches near the dryer, if you unplug the one with two wires going to it the condenser fans won't work.

    Extra info...

This started directly after I did the exhaust manifold studs, which involved shifting the a/c pump.

That is all I can think of?

Have a look at the wiring to the coolant temp sensor located where the top radiator hose attaches to the engine. When these open circuit the fans run

Does it turn on when you first start a cold engine?

It does it when cold. I'll have a look at the MAF.
