Thanks again for the kind offer. My Son & I are going to get stuck into it today. I will jack up entire front end & check all components for wear. If ball joints are OK I'll just order the rubber boots. I bought a set of quality 'easyouts' & will also tackle the broken exhaust stud. With everything in the way it is hard to tell but inspecting with a torch I can't see any trace of carbon. If this proves correct then I'll bet that manifold hasn't warped so I'll just replace stud & not remove manifold & turbo. If I was going to keep vehicle I would replace all the studs & get manifold machined & modified.
