Hi All
I am keen to fit a tranny pan with a dip stick
I have conflicting advice some say a disco 1 Tdi pan will fit and another says the stick gets in the way on a Td5.
Has anyone done this? Cheers Matt

Thanks Pinelli what was the pan off and why did you need to remove the cooler lines?
Also do you need to remove the cooler lines every time you do the fiter service on the Trany
Pan was off a D1 V8 (with an auto obviously)
I used the cooler lines that came with the D2, it's just a tight fit getting the dipstick tube aligned so that it sticks up through into the engine bay where you can reach it. Thinking about it more clearly, I don't think I removed the cooler lines, but had to manoeuvre the dipstick tube through the cooler lines, and getting the tube to screw in was a bugger. I made the changeover last time I did an oil & filter change, almost two years ago, with the next one due approx this Easter, and I'm guessing that I will have to undo the dipstick tube to do that.
I'll go down and have a look in the morning. Too rainy here tonight.
