    Button under the bonnet?

My D2a has a black button sitting on the firewall under the bonnet on the passengers side of the car.
Can anyone tell me what on earth it is for?

Or crash. Its the inertia switch.

It can "pop" up in small impacts in car parks. Either cutting the engine if you hit something, or causing the car to fail to start if someone hits you! Just press it down if it is activated.

    cheers,

    Nino.

That is the inertia fuel cut off switch. Located on the engine compartment bulkhead, in the event of a collision, the switch cuts electrical power to the fuel pump. To reset the switch, depress the top of the switch, Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

There have been a few cases where this switch has tripped while off roading too.
This is often accompanied by the hazard lights flashing.
Usually the vehicle has stoped quickly after finding a rut or rock that doesn't move.

As said- Turn key off, press switch = Disco should start.
    Cheers, Kyle

haha there are some funny comments here, I have actually had a few Discos towed in becasue either the owner couldnt get it started or a repair shop couldnt get it started.

Pesky little switch if you dont know about it.

    Regards
    Daz
