This will make you laugh!!
Just rebuilt ABS unit on my 2000 Disco 2, new seals, switches, plunger springs and wiring modifications and replaced one ABS front sensor.
Took vehicle into local Land Rover agents to clear the fault codes etc. I also asked them to check BCU settings for the front fog lights and alarm as neither worked.
They cleared the codes, and was informed that the alarm and fog lights had been disabled, but now been reactivated. The foreman did not think that they could do this, however tried and was surprised, did not know the BCU settings could be altered.
I suggested I should charge them for this!!
He did not seem very amused and gave me the bill for $130.
At least they washed and vacuumed the inside of my vehicle .
morel of this ........................................
I must start saving for my own Nanocom!!!!

You really need a Nanocom. I've used it more than any other tool on my Disco. I couldn't do without it.
Happy Days.

Hi
I followed these instructions - ABS Mod - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I.
I replaced the shuttle switches, seals and did "option b" on the wiring modification, I however hard wired this back into the main wiring loom, did not use any plug.
The other thing I did was replace the seals - ABS SVS Seals - LAND ROVER CLUB V.I. as per instructions. When I removed one of the plungers, I found the spring was broken in two. I could not find any mention of this in any forum, so I guess is not common. I located a local spring maker who made a replacement pair up in stainless steal to same specs as the unbroken spring.
Only issues with replacing the seals is that the system will need a full bleed using a nanaocom etc.
But two days now without any sign of the ABS/HDC/TC coming back so end of day well work it. Was quoted $1000 to have the ABS unit rebuilt, which did not include any seals. My cost is around $450 inc brake fluid etc.
