Question Discovery 2 and ACe actuator problem

    Hello people
    Please advise
I got a discovery 2 and the front right hand ace actuator is leaking.
I found the rubber sleeve was full of power steering oil.
The question is : this actuator is serviceable? Any kit available?
Or I should replace it for a new one? Who sell it in Australia?
    I'm in Brisbane .
    Thanks

Need a new actuator as complete assembly. You can get second hand units but new are less than $100. You will need tube spanner combination for the end nut and access to Nanocom plus bleed procedure once installed.

Search my threads. I posted how to get the bolt off with a tube spanner. It's not hard but it's not just that simple. You need to use a socket on the inner tube spanner from memory.

    Happy Days.

Here's the info on the ACE bolt:

Or you can get the correct tool from LR Australia for 10 million dollars.

    Happy Days.

Hi I have been told by my Mechanic not to throw out my old ones as they are rebuildable.

I'll see if I can get some more info on that.

You might want to replace the Greased bush that mounts the actuator while you have it out. you need to press it out and in.

    Cheers

I sourced mine from UK... There are several good places. From memory I used Island 4x4 I think.
