    TD5 Fuel Leak

I have a fuel leak appears to be dripping off what looks like a regulator at rear of Cyl head. Does anyone know likely causes and procedure for repair. It was hard enough to see it, not looking forward to fixing it!!

That's the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR). A common place for a fuel leak.

There are a number of threads here about repairing the leak, but boils down to some options
    • Replace the whole FPR block ($$$)
    • Replace gasket & o-rings (cheap, might work)
    • Replace gasket, o-rings and the actual regulator, but use the existing block.

Third option is what I did and it was fine. If you dig around and find the right part number, you can sometimes pick up just the regulator on ebay, might say it is for a BMW or some such. I think I paid $50ish for one (plus a little bit for the gaskets & o-rings) instead of several hundred for the whole block.

Others here will ave their own opinion and experiences on the best way to tackle this.

This is the cheaper alternative to a new FPR its usually
just a oring seal or regulator that fails.
if you are handy with the spanners its worth a try.
Just double check with seller that it is a 4 bar regulator

If you blow seals soon after it could be a sign that your
    injector washers are failing.

Search on AULRO or google for tips on fitting.
