    Front/rear diff interchangeability?

    Apart from the obvious difference in output flanges is there any problem using a rear diff 3rd member in the front diff?

    I have a slightly clapped out rear diff centre that I'd rather get rebuilt than spend $300+ on a supposedly "good" used front diff 3rd member if they are a straight swap.

    Straight fit, as you mentioned just change the flanges...
